Q. When scheduling a hydrovac how much lead time is necessary in order to secure a date?
A. Calling one week prior to digging will typically ensure a hydrovac for your project.
Q. Is there a minimum charge for small jobs?
A. Yes. Please indicate the size of the project to figure out if a minimum charge will apply.
Q. I can provide a dump spot. Will that have an effect on the cost?
A. Yes providing a dump site can save you money. Call for details.
Q. Could you provide proof of insurance and/or clearance certificate and/or notice of project before we begin the excavation project?
A. Yes.

Q. Since I have a hydrovac scheduled do I need to have underground utilities marked out?
A. Locates must be presented to hydro vac operators before any digging commences.
Q. Will the high pressure water damage the plant / buried utility?
A. Utilizing proper techniques and specialized nozzles the operators are trained to make sure the integrity of the plant remains unchanged.
Q. Are you available for emergency work?
A. Yes. We now offer emergency service.
Q. Are there additional costs not associated with the hourly rate?
A. Dump charges are additional however all other costs are included in the hourly rate.
Q. The hydrovac cannot access the dig site area. By using remote access hose, how far away from the truck can you excavate?
A. Great question!!! We have completed excavation projects that required more than 300 feet of hose. Excavation projects requiring over 300 feet of hose can be undertaken utilizing proper vacuum assistance methods.
Q. The project is in a residential area. What measure do you engage to ensure the safety and protection of the community?
A. Our hydrovac trucks are equipped with sound enclosures, ensuring a minimal noise disturbance. Our operators complete a traffic control plan, setting up proper control devices, barriers and signs prior to beginning each project.
Q. Since this method is non destructive do I need to contact the plant owner before exposing plant?
A. Even though you have locates, the plant owner may require their representative to be onsite during the excavation. Check the locate sheet to see if this is required.
Q. There is frost in the ground. Can this process still proceed?
A. Our hydrovacs are equipped for winter operation and can excavate frozen earth through any depth of frost.
Q. What precautions are used with open holes and trenches?
A. If it is necessary to maintain an open hole or trench, the contractor is required to make the area safe with fences, barricades, or other methods.
Q. What are your payment terms?
A. Payment terms are Net 30 days.
